(Review) Supernatural - The Slice Girls; 7x13

So far, I hadn’t seen any cohesive storyline at Supernatural’s 7th season, only characters dying and the usual daddy issues and bitter!Dean trying to forget his problems with booze and sex.

“The Slice Girls” was another filler episode where they’ve tried to insert greek mythology by telling their own version of the Amazons’ story with a Twilight twist. Well, if you want to show credibility, at least do it right.

I am disappointed and even the so apelative “Dean’s getting laid and orgasm faces” scenes (as a human, they did effect on me, of course!) didn’t do the trick for me. They try to remember the deceased and it’s not convincing.

Where are the Leviathans? Will Dean and Sam stay bitter for the rest of their natural lives or they will never find some happiness?

I know this is far from what a review should be, but I can’t be cohese, just like them. Also, researches are good.

(Review) The Good Wife - Another Ham Sandwich; 3x14

Wendy Scott-Carr thinks she owns the game, right?

And so does Peter Florrick. Peter is after Will Gardner because of the past (present and future, I hope) connections that Will had with Alicia and it raises a question: he had affairs while he was married, Alicia waited - even though we can clearly see the sexual tension between her and Will while she was married - to have sex with Will, why Peter thinks he has the right to go after the man who slept with his wife AFTER their divorce?

Alicia was by Peter’s side when he confessed his cheating, she was at his side when he got re-elected and there’s so much a person can take. “Saint” Alicia took a lot and even now, divorced, she has to deal with Peter’s childish behavior and the fact that he used his position as the State Attorney to punish Will.

Of course, there was a dennounce of bribery and on a previous episode, Elsbeth made the right move to let ALL the judges knowing about Wendy’s and Pete’s witches hunt - by the way, Elsbeth Tascioni is the comic element that lacks among the lawyers: her messy way to deal with serious situations tricks you into question her prefessional skills, but she’s a genius! - Will admitted that he was a victim of a move where he tried to save his own father’s ass but never thought the situation would turn into a snowball, specially because of Alicia’s husband. Elsbeth made a genious’ move, but it pissed off Wendy Scott-Carr. She wanted revenge, she wanted to win no matter how and put Kalinda in a difficult situation, situation that led to this episode.

Diane is a mother-figure to Will, noticeable even through the partner’s business excuse. Also, I love Christine Baranski and her not-a-mom-but-a-mom’s characters. “The Birdcage”, “Mamma Mia”, “The Big Bang Theory”… she’s great and she’s being greater as Diane.

David Lee was charming at the Court, Eli Gold being charming (okay, I have a very soft spot in my heart for Alan Cummings, Eli is charming to me) and sneaky to get the GLAC account, counter-attacking Stacie Hall when she seduced him - I felt seduced by Eli! - Peter trying (and failing) to be charming…

Eli Gold, from unbearable shark to almost Prince Charming.

Alicia and Peter talking at her kitchen show how much she grew up, from the housewife who had no voice to contest her husband until she sees alone and having to take decisions she never took. Throwing things she kept trapped inside her at his face, imposing herself.

It’s clear that the audience wants Will and Alicia to be an item and it’s clear that the producers want them to be together as well. The way one worries about the other, the look exchanges…

And then, my favorite part: the fall of Wendy Scott-Carr.

She is cocky that she’ll prove something against Will but then… Dana, you relied too much on Kalinda and did you honestly think she would trade her loyalty to Lockhart/Gardner to someone who works to Peter Florrick? And you know that Wendy has lost control when she uses a subpoena on Alicia.

It’s personal. She wants to win no matter how, no matter who she’d hurt - including her own “employeer“‘s ego and proud. Peter Florrick.

He should’ve seen it coming.

When Wendy used Cary’s opinions and exposed Alicia to the jury, she showed she had no scruple, by exposing Cary’s opinions, which were formed by his hurt feelings for NOT being chosen when Lockhart/Gardner had to choose between him and Alicia.

The biggest ‘fuck you’ Alicia could give to Wendy, Peter and Cary was not giving a damn about Wendy’s insinuations and walking away; it showed how much Alicia grew up in 2 and a half years.

I just think that Alicia is delaying to talk to her kids about her and Will. Yes, she’s protecting her kids just like any other mother would do, but it’d be better if she comes clean to them, instead of them find it out through other people, just like it happened in their father case.

Bye Wendy!

TV Shows: “2 Broke Girls”

I thought a lot if i should watch this show after reading the backlash of the people about some of the jokes. “It’s all about sexism; just rape jokes” or “I can’t understand why it’s on tv, to be honest!”. I was curious to see if it was bad as people were claiming it was.

I gave it a chance and I don’t regret it at all. The show is about two girls around their early 20’s, Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline (Beth Behrs), both are the opposite from each other: Max is a girl who always has been poor, working her ass in 2 jobs to make the ends meet and actually not having any expectations about her future. Caroline, a billionaire girl sees herself on an unusual situation; she has lost everything because her father is in jail, accused of being part of a scam (very Bernard Madoff), having all her belongings frozen by justice - no place to live, no friends to help, nothing. She applies for a job at this diner and becomes Max’s roommate and later, her friend.

Max also makes an extra cash by selling homemade cupcakes at the diner she works as a waitress. Her other job is being a babysitter for a shallow and stupid Kardashian-type young woman, Peach, who has a twin baby couple, Brad and Angelina.

At the diner, you meet different men who are part of Max’s and Caroline’s lives: Earl, the pleasant cashier who’s also a musician and always tries to sell his cds at the diner - he’s always seen with his headphones and has sarcastic comebacks just as Max’s; Oleg, the ucranian womanizer who only thinks about sex and always express it aloud, most times not respecting the girls with his comments but, at the same time, respecting physical boundaries - and HanLee, the korean descendent young man who buys the diner and tries to be hip. Han is probably the reason why the diner is always full of hipsters and reason of Max’s despise.

At the first sight, Caroline is just a dumb rich girl - like Peach, who always tries to stay relevant to the media; calls her babies “Brangelina” and give them spray tan treatments and always say that Angelina is “fat” - but she is a smart kid who simply doesn’t know how life is. She is detaching herself from all her material belongings, little by little and facing what a “real life” actually is. Caroline shows herself as an awesome business manager and decides to help Max with her “cupcake business”.

“2 Broke Girls” is a CBS comedy and it’s shown in Brazil by Warner Channel.
